Hello everyone look what we got up to today 🙂
 
The children have been interested in learning about the life cycle of animals and plants so today we read the Very Hungry Caterpillar book and extended further on this as the children were very interested.
 
Extending from the children’s learning about the female butterfly laying its egg on the food plant needed for the larvae we decided it had now been long enough to complete the metamorphosis cycle of the butterfly. So in order to demonstrate we set up a butterfly painting experience where the children got to enjoy the satisfaction from the end result of a beautiful butterfly that they had produced from the sensation of the goopy feeling of the paint under the paper on their hands.
