Good afternoon and happy Wednesday!
This morning we made our way into the big side yard where we welcomed our friends; August, Millie, Rosie, Lagertha, Tua, Isabelle, Lara, Nikora, Ruby, Myah and Brayden. We enjoyed the morning sun whilst playing with balls, going up and down on the see-saw and jumping off the balance beam! When it was time to transition indoors; Miss Jordan sang “Bee Bee Bumble Bee” with us tp slowly transition indoors for Morning Breakfast Pizza.
After enjoying a long morning tea together we made our way to book corner where we read “Australian Animals” which set us up for our activity! For our first activity we picked animals out of the book and traced them onto paper. As we traced we talked about what type of animal is was, the sounds it makes, where it lives and its colour. We then coloured in our tracings and even had a go at tracing the spelling of the animal! The animals our friends picked were; a shark, kangaroo, wallaby and crocodile. Afterwards we moved onto the next table where we found green clay! We haven’t played with clay much before so it was new and exciting. We enjoyed making shapes and getting used to the thick texture of the clay- as it was different to playdough!
After enjoying the indoors we “flew” back over to the side yard to release more energy before lunch and rest. While we were there we heard some “bear sounds” and taps of the wall and we thought there was a bear nearby but it was Mr Pete; he tricked us!!
For lunch after our busy play we enjoyed Sushi Bowl with sweet Sesame Sauce for lunch!
