Good Afternoon friends and families!
We had a very special day today!
Firstly we welcomed our friends inside where it was very cozy and we had lots of things to play with. We spent the morning exploring and playing with our toys indoors. The children showed a lot of interest in the rainbow glitter shapes, dinosaurs, home corner and the magnetic tubes.
For morning tea we enjoyed ‘Very Peachy Jelly Cups’ all together, the children are very independent with packing away their dishes and drink bottles.
For group time this morning, Miss Maddi read “Piranhas don’t eat bananas’ , ‘Follow that tiger’ and ‘Green frog.’ Our friends were engaged and helping finish the words in the book! When it was time all of our friends stood in a straight line together and quietly made our way over to Toddlers 2 where they were so excited to find the sea creature show! The children sat beautifully; esspecialy for very excited toddlers! We learnt about beautiful sea animals that live in our oceans and we were lucky enough to be able to look and touch a few. We saw; sea cucumbers, star fish, sea urchins just to name some! Some of our friends were very eager to touch and others very happy to look!
Afterwards we made our way back into our room where the children had the opportunity to enjoy free play, have a dance party with streamers and draw what we saw in our show. They enjoyed moving between different activities at their own pace. After the rain we raced outside for a few minutes to release energy and take in some fresh air before lunch and sleep time. We are resting our bodies now and will be ready to get back into again soon!
