Happy Tuesday families and friends! Today in the Toddler room the children had a wonderful day of fun, learning and play. This morning for yarn time the children engaged in a group discussion about dental hygiene as we prepare for our special visit from ‘Sharkey Shark’ from the Tooth Booth Show who is visiting this Thursday. The children shared their thoughts and ideas about how we can properly brush our teeth to keep them nice and healthy including drinking water, eating nice healthy food and brushing morning and night. Tomorrow the children will be given the opportunity to practise brushing using the large mouth model, paste and toothbrush. Miss Gabby then paid us a visit for our weekly yoga session. Today the children pretended to ride the bus to the jungle to go searching for animals including a tiger, crocodile and snake. Miss Gabby blew bubbles for the children to catch and then the children relaxed on the mat for tickles from the feathers. Group time today the children settled on the mat for puppets and felt stories. Today the children sang along to Three Jelly fish, Brown Bear, Brown Bear – What do you see, 5 Little Rockets and Two Little Blue Birds. The children had so much fun singing, counting, identifying colours, numbers and interacting with their friends. Wow… What a super busy day at kindy today…
