Hello families and happy Friday!
We have had a great end to our week here at kindy. We started the morning in the yard, where we explored, rode our bikes and played in the water kitchen. Miss Thais also set up an activity mat today where there were sea animals books, lego and other quiet activities. This allowed us to be calm outside, which some of us really enjoyed.
We continuous focusing on Ocean, beach, and sea animals this week where outside we had the chance to choose between blue playdough and sea shapes or painting the ocean using blue painting. The children really enjoy to self select their activities.
We also had Funky Feet Dance today where Miss Jenni focused on the colors. Our friends helped to identify the colors through the songs. Was a good way to practice the name of the colors while we were dancing.
Before we transitioned inside the Room Miss Thais read to us some books about the Ocean and sang some songs. We also have been learning a new Brazilian song “The frog does not wash your feet”. The english version is “The frog doesn’t wash his feet”. The children enjoyed sang the song doing actions and the laughed a lot at the end. Parker asked Miss Thais “More, more, more”. We also enjoyed “Row, row, row your boat” as we holding our friends hands to sing together.
Our friend Ivy is turning two today we sang Happy Birthday to her and she loved it!
