Good Afternoon families,

This morning Miss Thais, Bec and Maddi welcomed Dominic, Aria, Millie, Tai, Onyx, Lachlan, Nayla, Kezia, Ava, Rania and Abel into the room. We started the day with Miss Thais reading the  ‘follow the tiger’ book. The children love when we introduce them to new books, as they are intrigued. We then spent the rest of the morning with free play inside the room which consisted of reading books individually, playing in home corner with the baby dolls and building tall towers with our blocks. We then sat down and sang some songs with Miss Bec before we washed our hands and sat down for morning tea.

After morning tea, we practiced our dancing and songs that we will be performing at our Christmas Party. We are doing so well and cannot wait to show you! Our Christmas Party will be on Monday 7th December, 4:30pm-6pm. Miss Thais then set up a art table where we used crayons to draw all over the pages. It is good to introduce different materials to draw with, to develop our pincer grip and fine motor skills even more! Miss Hayley then came in to lead us in our weekly yoga session, which we love! We are all becoming so good at the different poses, breathing in and out.

We then sat down and had a conversation with the children about what they would like from Santa this year. Things including bikes, puppy and scooter were mentioned by multiple children. We are aiming to write letters to Santa and post them in our ‘mailbox’ in the next few weeks.

Before we washed our hands for lunch, Miss Bec found us two new books for our room. These were “The Wiggles World Tour” and “Dr Seus’ Hop on Pop”. Hop on Pop was a great book for the children as it is a repetitive book that is full of rhyming words that are easy for the children to say.

What a beautiful start to the week 🙂

Love, Miss Thais, Bec and Maddi xx
