Good afternoon,
We started our early morning in Toddlers One Room building a Christmas Tree with Miss Thais. The children who were involved were Onyx, Abel, Lachlan and Dominic. The Toddler friends then transitioned outdoors for a play in the great outdoors. The children engaged in water play and engaged in sand and digger play.
Before we transitioned inside we sang some Christmas songs like a jingle bell and also our Christmas song with actions for our Christmas party. We are getting into the Christmas spirit!
For our Group time today Miss Bec read to us Lachlan’s favorite book “Follow that tiger” and “We are going on a Bear Hunt”. We also sang our Good morning songs and had a conversation about what we are planned for the day. We decided on sensory playdough play using the rollers and shape cutters. Miss Maddi made green playdough for we use to create some Christmas tree.
We also had Yoga class and our friends loved it! They are getting better with the poses at this time. Other activities engaged in today included puppets and Home corner area.
We continued on with practising our meal time self-help skills as the children confidently displayed their ability to use their forks and spoons to enjoy their meals. The children also helped pack away their dishes and place their drinks in the basket.
