Happy Monday♥
Hello families and welcome to our day here in the Toddlers two room!
Today we celebrated HOLI FESTIVAL OF COLOURS!!! What fun that was, the children had a ball and I look forward to telling you all about it!
This morning we started outside where we could hear the birds chirping, seeing the sunrays and having a whirl of fun with our friends and teachers! The children enjoyed roaming through the gardens, viewing the horses from the fence, digging in the sandpit and swinging on the swing with glee. As all our friends arrived we then headed inside to start group time. In group time today Miss Jess read a book called ”PIG the winner” the children liked this book and thought the illustrations were pretty funny too! We then sang ”Stomping dinosaur” and ”Sleeping bunnies” before singing our transition song to wash hands. After morning tea we all headed to engage in the room activities of their choice. The children explored the dolls house, connecting with the connectors, role playing in the home corner and with the farm animals to racing the cars around the room. Kynell’s mum also gave us some awesome balloons to play with as well!! Miss Jess then put the chicken song on to extend on showing the children the little baby chickens for our activities tomorrow. The children and Miss Jess happily danced away to the chicken dance and did well at following the moves!
After our morning of fun we then got ready to head outside to the bottom playground where the colour festivities would take place! The children were so excited for this and were all eager to have a go and to also explore the bottom playground! When we all got there the children were able to take it in turns to go wild with the colour sprays on the white pillow case!! They LOVED seeing the outcome as each time they sprayed on the pillow case! For the children who had a turn they had a ball sliding down the slides and climbing the obstacles in the yard! To end the colour festivities we placed the different colour flour we helped make on Friday on the floor where the children were able to take handfuls and throw it all up in the air! The children had so much fun doing this and oh of course the teaches joined in on the fun!!! This was a great way to also talk to the children about colours and what colours they were spraying and throwing. What a lovely way to end the morning with before lunch time.
After lunch the children had a lovely rest before for our outdoor adventure in the great outdoors!
Thank you all for today♥
See you all soon,
Miss Jess, Miss Hope and Miss Shae xx
