Hello families,
Happy Monday! Hope you all had a safe weekend 🙂
Today, we started our new week exploring and playing outside; our favourite area to be with our friends!
Soon it was time for us all to transition inside the room for some morning tea! We re-energized our bodies and drank lots of water because we’re told how important it is everyday by our educators 🙂 The children then got some free play inside the room. It’s awesome to see what their interests may be and how they interact amongst a classroom environment.
We then participated in a little group time with Miss Thais 🙂 We read a story called ‘What’s the Weather?’ which focused on the different kinds of weather all around the world. There was the sun, rain, clouds, snow, thunder and a pretty rainbow. We had a little discussion and looked outside the window to see what today’s weather was like. Some were great at identifying that it was “sunny” while others said “rainy or cloudy”. Great try friends! This was a great book that can help the children understand the different environments around them and help identify the world in which we live.
Following our story time, we got to be involved in an arts and craft activity! There was glue, paper and cotton balls! We were all excited to create our very own clouds 🙂 They had lots of fun!
Once we packed away our room and toys, we had time to do some dancing to some of our favorite songs! We all held hands and danced and sang a Brazilian song that Miss Thais taught us from her country 🙂 It’s awesome to see the children be so involved and interested in dancing and singing songs from other cultures!
After a fun and happy morning/afternoon it was then time for us have some lunch and rest our little bodies.
We can’t wait to see what the rest of this week has in store for us all! Hope you all had a positive start to your week 🙂
