Happy Thursday!
Today we welcomed our new friend Diego in our Toddlers Two Room. Our friends were very excited to explore the Yard together doing a lot of climbing, slide down in the big slide and show to Diego how to climb in the net bridge. We also sang our Good morning song “Hello how are you” together very excited. Parker asked the educators to sing it “fast” and we all sang together again.
The children have been showing interest in Book’s at the moment. They are really enjoying in sitting down on the mats with cushions and have some relaxing time and also sharing images and names with each other.
We also practice some meditation and Yoga with Miss Thais. We pretend to hold our cup of “hot chocolate” but was very hot and we needed to blow it was a good exercise to practice our breath in and breath out. Miss Thais also asked the children to form a tree pose and bridge.
We had two different groups today – indoor and outdoor. The children could self select what their interest and Miss Thais also asked them what they want to play with. Parker said “dancing” and Willow said “painting” so we decided to do some painting inside with Miss Bec where we could paint the fruits from the “The very hungry caterpillar” Book and also practice the names of the fruits. Miss Thais also asked the children to put the fruits inside of the “caterpillar box” The other group went to the big Yard with Miss Maddi and dance to Wiggles.
This afternoon we are going to have more play, read books and dancing in the Yard!
