Happy Thursday!
Today we welcomed, Willow, Lara, Nayla, Onyx, Parker, Nikora, Dominic, Tua, Alia, Abel, Millie and Ivy. The children spent the morning in the yard, riding bikes, jumping through hula hoops, reading books, coloured water and climbing all around. We then sat down all together outside for our group time and sung our good morning song “Hello how are you” to then eat watermelon, pear and blueberry muffins for morning tea!
For group time today, we read ‘going to the zoo’ and ‘a very hungry caterpillar’, our friends are really enjoying reading books at the moment! As we are focusing on learning and remembering colours this week, we played colour matching again today with our colour cards and matching coloured paper with our coloured lego blocks. Then to follow on we got to paint! We dabbed cotton tips into different coloured paints and onto paper. This helped us to practice our fine motor and cognitive skills!
After, we put on our dancing shoes and sung along to our ‘playschool’ songs, we even got to learn some new songs too! We then transitioned inside to wash our hands and have yummy burgers for lunch
We have had such a beautiful day together and can’t wait to see our friends tomorrow too.
