Good afternoon friends and families,

This morning we welcomed Nayla, Onyx, Nikora, Dominic, Diego, Parker, Macsen, Ivy, Rumi, Alanis, Lachie, Millie, Abel, and to our new friend Kynell, Welcome!

We spent the morning in the yard where our friends enjoyed riding bikes, playing with water, and sitting in the shade reading books. The children love spending the morning outdoors and welcoming each friend as they walk through the door. We then sat down where Miss Bec read us “Peppa Pigs Christmas” and sang us some songs. The children are becoming really good at listening and joining in with the actions to different songs. We then sang “bee bumblebee’ before transitioning indoors to wash our hands for morning tea.

After morning tea, Miss Bec continued to make Christmas stockings with the children, where they did sponge painting in Christmas colours. Sponge painting is a good way for the children to experiment with a different painting tool rather than an ordinary paintbrush, but also to enhance their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Outdoors, Miss Maddi continued to take photos that will go on the children’s Christmas cards. The children loved both activities and enjoyed the free play while waiting for their turn in each activity.

We then sat down for another group time where Miss Thais sang a Brazillian song and read two Christmas books before washing our hands and going indoors for lunch and sleep time.
