Good afternoon friends and family,
Firstly, a BIG thank you to all of you that came to our Christmas party yesterday, we enjoyed it so much! Also thank you so much for the beautiful gifts that both educators and children received. We appreciate you guys so much!!
This morning we welcomed Millie, Parker, Kynell Onyx, Nayla, Dominic, Lachlan, Ivy, Nikora, Diego, Rumi, Abel, Alia and Alanis into the room where we spent the morning with free play in the room. Some chose to play with the balls, some with the foam skeleton, some with the window blocks and some chose to read books. Miss Bec then sat us down for group time where we read “We are going on a bear hunt”, “Peppa’s Christmas” and “Follow that Tiger”. The children all sat so nicely and were very intrigued with the books. Some even know what is going to happen on the next page!
We then transitioned into the bathroom where we washed our hands and sat down for morning tea. After morning tea, Miss Thais played a ball game with us where we rolled the ball to eachother whilst sitting in a circle. This improves our fine and gross motor skills, coordination skills along with us learning eachothers name. Miss Maddi then made us some sensory playdough which we really enjoy rubbing, rolling and shaping. We also got out some paper and some pencil crayons for drawing activity. This helps our pincer-grip, fine motor and creativity.
Miss Maddi then took us outdoors for a little play to let all of our energy out, before we then transitioned indoors for lunch and rest time.
