What a busy day we had today in the Toddlers Room! Outside in the yard, Miss Leesa & Miss Shelby set up some lovely playdough for our friends to create with. As well as all our other fun activities such as Home Corner, the obstacle course and the big connector blocks for the Toddler friends to utilise.

Once inside, we started our Yarn Circle. After our Acknowledgment to Country, Miss Leesa read some books and sang some of the requested songs such as Incey Wincey Spider, ABC and Twinkle Twinkle. As soon as everyone had finished their morning tea of fruit, yoghurt and sultanas, the Toddlers were off! Popular play experiences this morning were the Poly M Blocks, building with the train tracks and our puzzles.

At the table, Miss Jess set up some Indigenous Inspired Drawing. The children used Earth coloured oil pastels on black cardboard to create their masterpieces. Some children chose to draw fires, other children drew elephants, kangaroos and monkeys! As the children were drawing, we spoke about what the Indigenous Australians used to draw with and how the symbols they drew meant certain things.

Love Miss Leesa & Miss Jess
