Hello Babies, 3 families,
Today is Teddy Bear’s Picnic Day!!! We were all so excited to show our educators our teddy’s as we arrived this morning. We were ready for a fun day outside joined with our friends from Babies 1 and Babies 2 with lots of activities planned.
Before our activities we all took our teddy’s over to the mats and sat down on the comfy pillows with all our friends. Sitting together we enjoyed some yummy bread and fresh fruit; Miss Mel filled all our waters up and we all had big sips of water. While we were enjoying our morning tea Miss T’arn, Miss Mel, Miss Hansi and Miss Jess set up the yard. We had a sensory mat, chalkboard, water troughs with sparkly floating hearts and feathers for us to explore and a table full of bright coloured paint and paper hung up on our fence for us to express ourselves through painting.
Before we began our activities, Mel took all our teddy’s inside, so they stayed clean and dry. They enjoyed their own little tea party at the table.
Wow did we have fun!!!! Luna loved splashing and stamping our feet in the water trough. Liz, Halle, Avery, and August loved the free painting experience, the feeling of the cold paint on their fingers and swirling it around the table then dabbing their hands onto the paper, making one huge masterpiece! It was a little messy but so much fun!!! Liz and Avery also loved drawing on the chalkboard. Delilah spent a lot of time over in the sandpit, her friends Halle and Augie joined her digging and scooping up the sand. Augie placed his doggy into one of the prams and began pushing him around the yard.
Once we were cleaned up, we headed over to Babies 2. We were all going to enjoy our lunch together today, we had roast vegetables and chicken!! Yum!! We were all very tired from such a fun filled morning. We headed back to our room. Miss Vanessa lowered the blind, it was time for some relaxing music and a nap.
