Happy Friday♥
Hello families of the Toddlers Two room, welcome to our glorious day! I look forward to you reading all about it.
This rainy morning we spent the time indoors, the children were able to set foot around the room and freely explored various activities of their choice. Activities such as some of the following.
- Seeking through the boxes and finding what they wanted to play with such as the magnetic connectors, cars and small blocks.
- Reading on the carpet with our teachers and letting the children choose the books that they wanted to read.
- Role playing in home corner
- Freely drawing at the table with textas, pencils and crayons.
After morning tea as the rain started to clear up we thought we would take the opportunity to let all cherubs take adventure outside!! So we quickly helped to pack away before heading outside. The children all had a whirl of fun! From throwing, kicking the balls around to carefully balancing on the beams before jumping off glee, racing around on the bikes, making sandcastles in the sandpit and so much more!! The rain managed to stay away for a little longer which gave us the chance to do our coloured jelly (red and blue) outside to finish off on focusing on colours this week. The children were able to dive deep into the jelly, feeling it with their hands and using the tongs to pick it up! What great fun this was and it was enjoyed by all children.
Miss Jenny arrived shortly after, the children were all so eager to dance!! They raced inside to meet Miss Jenny on the carpet where all the groovy dance moves took place!! It is a lovely way to see their personalities boom and for them to dance like no one is watching, (TOO CUTE!) Their favourite dance song was ”The floor is lava” where they danced to the beat until they heard the countdown and had to quickly move off the carpet before it got to 1. They all did a wonderful job.
As the time was creeping up the children had another journey outside before mother nature let the rain come on down. Phew we were just in time to come inside for lunch before it rained. They all sat up nicely and filled their tummies with lunch and water before packing away to relax on their beds to be all reenergised for this afternoon.
Despite the weather this afternoon all children had a joyful time inside with all their friends and teachers.
