Hello families,

Welcome to Friday in Babies’ 3.

August and Avery spent the day over in Toddlers today, we have missed them both so much but have heard they have both had a wonderful day.

Our morning began exploring our room. Halle and Liz were first to arrive. Miss Melinda put on some music for us to enjoy, “Five Little Ducks” came on. Liz and Halle began dancing around and doing the actions. Liz saying “quack, quack, quack” in time with the music. Halle went in search for our toy ducks and handed on to Liz. They continued to dance around waving the ducks in the air, it was so adorable to watch. Our friend Valencia arrived and gave Miss Vanessa big cuddles as she settled. It wasn’t long before Valencia was comfortable enough to explore the room. She found the stacking rings, using her fine motor skills Valencia placed the rings on top of one another. Halle was busy washing the fruit and vegies and has recently show an interest in the dolls house, sitting and placing the dolls in and out of the chairs and making the dolls dance around. Luna arrived and sat down with the rainbow book, looking at all the different colours. Miss Mel named the colours as Luna turned each page. We all sat together on the floor to build towers with the wooden blocks, it was lots of fun knocking them back down again.

It was time to clean up, wash our hands and enjoy some yummy morning tea. Luna, Halle, Valencia and Liz did so well today helping Mel and Vanessa pack away all our toys to the “clean up” song.

It was dancing time!!!!! We all love when Funky Feet arrive and become very excited to join our friends in Babies’ 2. We danced to “hula hoop” while playing with the colourful hula hoops, “wheels on the bus” Using the hula hoops as the steering wheel and “Five little monkeys” and one of our favourites “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” Luna, Halle and Liz were all very enthusiastic showing off our amazing dance moves and doing the actions. Valencia was a little unsure and sat with Miss Mel, however she did have a little boogie while sitting on Mel’s lap.

Once the dance lesson was finished, we headed back over to our room. Miss Mel had set up a Mother’s Day playdoh experience, using purple playdoh, rollers, scissor, and heart cut outs for our friends to investigate. Halle did so well at cutting the playdoh using the scissors, Liz enjoyed rolling her playdoh, Luna was not too sure, she didn’t like the sensation of the playdoh in her hands and decided to play with the sensory bottles instead. Valencia liked pressing the shape cutters into her playdoh.

We cleaned up, found our hats, and put our sunscreen on and explored our outside environment. The sandpit was very popular, lots of digging and scooping up the sand. The see saws have also been very popular this week.

It was time to wash our hands and sit down for our yummy burgers!! Miss Mel lowered the blinds and put on some soft relaxing music as we all drifted off to sleep.
