Good Afternoon families,
Today Thais, Bec, and Maddi welcomed Lachlan, Onyx, Alanis, Nayla, Dominic, Nikora, Parker, Ivy, Millie, Abel and our new friend Rumi. Welcome, Rumi to our Toddlers Two Room! The children showed interest this morning in balls, books, climbing, and sandpit.
Before we transitioned inside the Room Miss Maddi sat with us and all the children listened to the “Where is the green sheep” book. We sang our good morning song and washed our hands for morning tea.
Our activity time today inside was Pom Poms and egg cartoon, where the children could carefully use the tong to grab the pom-poms and put in the egg cartoon. This activity promotes fine motor control and concentration skills. The cars, train set and skeleton puzzle were popular.
Before we transitioned inside again for our lunch Miss Otavia sang our “brazilian song” and all the children hold their hands and dance along.
We continued on with practicing our meal time self-help skills as the children confidently displayed their ability to use their forks and spoons to enjoy their chicken noodles dish for big lunch. The children also helped pack away their dishes and place their drinks in the basket.
