BABIES 1 – FRIDAY 31st JULY 2020.
Happy Friday one and all to our families and friends on this beautiful day! Miss Kate started the day off outside with our friends combined with the Babies 2 children before heading inside for morning tea! 😊
Today we acknowledged FLORAL FRIDAY’s which is a Torres Strait Islander tradition to celebrate their culture. We listened to some traditional music and dressed in our flower outfits! The children also participated in some free painting on flower pictures that Miss Lilly made for us! We learn through creativity, demonstrating curiosity and confidence with the paints. 😊
Thank you to Daris’ family for bringing in cake for their traditional Christmas Day today! The children love learning and respecting different cultures. 😊
Outside play was popular this morning with all of our friends which Miss Kate had set out some great play spaces for us to explore. These included the dollies tea party, duplo bricks, trucks in the sandpit and our obstacle course included the sensory mats, big soft blocks, stepping stones to increase our physical gross motor development. 😊
Our wooden castle bricks toy was explored as the children self-selected this from the shelf today which is great to extend our coordination and fine motor skills. 😊
