Babies 1 – Monday 18th May 2020. ♥
Hello one and all from the Miss Kate in the Babies 1 Room. We welcomed all of our friends with lovely cuddles on this cooler start to the day, which quickly warmed up nicely for our outside play spaces. Outside play was enjoyed mostly by Edward who helped Miss Kate set up our beautiful yard today including –
• Tent with dolls and books.
• Rocking dinosaurs.
• Rattles on the mat.
• Duplo bricks.
• Assorted cars in the sandpit.
• Large soft climbing blocks.
Outside our learning continues to assist each and everyone of us with our physical gross motor skills by being in a supportive environment. We came inside to explore some playdough which Olive found intriguing and of course gave the sensory play a taste test as this is how babies learn best! Edward has continued to practice his spoon feeding as follow up to a goal se for him in his learning portfolio. The fireman hats were a hit with Edward who knew exactly where it went – on his head! We are continuing to focus on NATIONAL FAMILIES WEEK this week so please be sure to complete your homework to add to our display of what you get up to n the weekends! I have included the beginning of our display which just requires our wonderful families contributions now to extend your children’s learning. We are interest based, so take in what you children are enjoying as this is how they learn the fastest if they are firstly interested in something in particular. For example if your children are looking at books on the weekends we will continue this here to get the most out of their learning to extend their language. The EARLY YEARS LEARNING FRAMEWORK outcomes this links to are – 1 – Children have a strong sense of identity. 2 – Children are connected with and contribute to their world. 3 – Children have a strong sense of wellbeing. 4 – Children are confident and involved learners. The NATIONAL QUALITY STANDARD that this also links to is QUALITY AREA 6 – Collaborative partnerships with families and communities.
Many thanks in advance.
We hope you enjoy the photos!
See you soon – thanks – Miss Kate. ♥
