Hello families, welcome to Monday’s in Babies 3,
This morning we welcomed Isla, Bella, Parker, Theo, Jhye, Valencia, Matthew and Winston with lots of cuddles as they settled into their learning environment. Today Winston will be spending the day in Toddlers 1 for a transition day.
Our morning began over in the Babies 2 room while we waited for more friends to arrive. We then all headed out to the yard to explore our outdoor environment. We all enjoyed climbing and demonstrating our balancing as we walked across the A frames. Miss Tati brought out the bubbles, we love chasing them around the yard and trying to pop them. Valencia found Bella’s Teddy (Ubba) and went searching for her friend to give her the comforter back. Parker was enjoyed pretending she was in a car at the steering wheel. “beep, beep” she repeat when Otavia asked her if she was driving. We all loved playing in the sandpit this morning too, digging up the sand. Theo and Matthew were sharing a bucket, filling it up together. We all sat together outside to sing our transition song ‘Bee, bee bumble bee”. As we said or tried our very best to say our names, we washed our hands and sat down for morning tea. Today we had Strawberry crostini with whipped vegan.
After we were all cleaned up it was time to explore our room. Isla headed straight over to home corner, playing with the pots and pans in the sink. Parker soon joined her friend, picking up the phone and holding it up to her ear. “Hello mummy” she said. Bella and Valencia thought the dolly in the highchair would like some yummy egg to eat. Later Theo also, using his imagination began feeding one of the dollies. Isla sat down on the floor with the ring stacker, using her concentration and fine motor as she placed each ring on top. She was engaged with this activity for some time.
Extending of our babies’ interest in dressing up Miss Otavia decided we would add dress ups during free play. Valencia was a crocodile before turning into a tradesman busy making business decisions on the toy phone. Jhye thought he looked hilarious all dressed up as a zebra, he kept looking in his reflection and laughing. Theo joined in once he put the tigers costume on, roaring just like a tiger as he admired his reflection. Parker was all dressed up in a beautiful red dress twirling around in her pretty dress. Bella was happily exploring the room, not feeling like dressing up today.
It was time for our Yoga class, we are always so excited to see what fun things our instructor has for us today. We practiced our breathing, balancing and stretching techniques through song and play. After yoga we enjoyed some free play before lunch. Jhye was enjoyed playing on the slide, as was Theo, he kept rolling he balls down the slide and then chasing after them. Over in the sandpit was Bella, Isla, Matthew and Parker.
Before we head inside for lunch we all sat together on the mat to sing our transition song ‘Bee, bee bumble bee”. As we said or tried our very best to say our names, we washed our hands and sat down for our yummy lunch. While we were waiting Miss Lyn read one of our favourite stories called “Dear Zoo” Practicing our best listening skills and Miss Lyn began to read. For lunch we enjoyed Rainbow noodle Buddha bowl.
After we finished our lunch some of us enjoyed our bottles on the pillows before laying on our mattress, drifting off to sleep with some soft relaxing music. For afternoon tea we have Chocolate beetroot brownies. This afternoon’s Play was outside, exploring our environment.
As the warmer weather is here, we thought we would enjoy some fun water-based activities this week. Could you please make sure you have a few changes of clothes in their bags! Thank you 😊
