Good afternoon families!!

Welcome to babies two ♥

This morning, Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane welcomed Scottie, Daisy, Indiana, Oskar and Braxton with lots of cuddles. We started our day exploring outdoor activities as usual. Daisy absolutely enjoyed playing in the sand pit scooping the sand into the baskets. Oskar and Scottie joined with Daisy in the sand pit and enjoyed digging holes and scooping the sand into the baskets and trays. Scottie loves being outside she enjoyed playing with her favourite soft blocks and then crawl around the yard to find some more exciting things to do. Daisy then found a ball and enjoyed throwing it around. She also wanted to have a look at a sensory book called ‘’rainbow’ and touch and feel the sensory parts of the pages. Indiana enjoyed riding her favourite bicycle and then she decided to go on the slide by herself. Braxton joined with us for the morning tea he walked to the table as soon as he saw his friends were having morning tea and happily sat on his chair and enjoyed his yummy morning tea. For morning tea, children enjoyed strawberry crostini with whipped vegan ricotta

For the group time Miss Tatiane read a story called ‘’hiding in the forest’’. Miss Tatiane went through each page and read the story. While she was reading the story, She encouraged children to find the spots that the animals were hiding and encouraged children to recognise the animals by making the sounds they make. Then we played the peek-a-boo game at the ed of the story to find all the animals again who were hiding behind the bushes.

Then we sand ‘’twinkle twinkle’’ song. Miss Tati sang the song twice and when she sings for the third time, Oskar started to sing this phrase, ‘’Up above the’’.  Well done OskarWe decided to set activities with water outside this week as we have the perfect weather for our favourite water play again. Miss Mel set up the sensory table with water and each tub with different resources to play with such as soft letters, Funnels and scoops. Daisy, Oskar, Braxton and Indiana absolutely loved touching the cold water and splash around. They enjoyed scooping the water into the other tubs and squeeze the soft bocks. Scottie satin one tub as she couldn’t reach the table and she had so much fun splashing water and playing with the soft blocks and funnels. For lunch children enjoyed Rainbow Noodle fish buddha bowl.

Each friend’s sleep times vary depending on their routines.  All our friends followed their own sleep routine and they slept well in their cots with some nice and calm music inside. We will be enjoying chocolate beetroot brownies with some fresh fruits for the afternoon tea.

We practice our self-help skills by using forks and spoons for mealtime to feed ourselves, put the hats on, find the drink bottles and wash our hands. Our new goal is encouraging children to put their dishes, bibs and drink bottles away in the baskets after mealtime. We encourage children to find their own cot now. We encourage older children to walk to the bathroom and use the stairs to reach to the changing mat and wash their hands after changing nappies by themselves. We encourage children to clean their own hands and own space after painting by offering them some wipes.

For one-on-one time, Scottie practiced walking as we have noticed that she refuses to sit down but walk by holding her educators’ hands. So Scottie practiced walking inside on the mat with Miss Tatiane while everyone else sleeping.

Please pack some clothes for warm weather as it can get really warm in the afternoon now.

Remind – Please fill the bottle receipt on the front desk for each day.

Much love Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane♥
