Good afternoon families!!

Welcome to babies two♥ Hope everyone had such a good weekend!!

This morning Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane welcomed Scotties, Daisy, Indiana, Chester, Loki, Braxton and Oskar with lots of cuddles. We started our day exploring indoor experiences as the weather was beautiful this morning. Welcome to babies two Scottie and we are so proud to say that you had such an amazing day as your first day at kindy. Scottie made such a strong relationship with her friends and her educators. Scotties loved exploring both indoor and outdoor yard and to engage with activities with her friends. Scottie got a big cuddle from her sister Charlie this morning as she Charlies came up to play in the big yard. Chester and Oskar had so much fun playing together putting the baskets on their head pretending to be wearing hats. Then Chester decided to cover his face and let to say ‘’Boo’’ to play Peek-a-boo game. In the big yard Oskar, Chester, Daisy and Scottie found few different sensory books so they all decided to have a look and find the sensory parts of the pages to touch and feel the different textures. Oskar changes his facial reactions every time he feels a different texture. Loki was so excited to walk on the balancing bridge and climb on the climbing frame. Then he found a big purple ball and decided to place the ball on a wheelbarrow and push around the yard. Loki has developed his verbal communication skills so much as he is trying to communicate using different words such as ‘’Please, Thank you, Water, Book, Ball, Car, Truck, tea, Nappy’’. Braxton absolutely loved playing in the sand pit and pretending that he was swimming. He loves jumping into the sand pit too. Indiana loves riding bicycles and steering the wheel that we have fixed on a beam outside. Indiana lost her shoe this morning and when Miss Otavia found the shoe, she said ‘’Thank you’’.

For morning tea, children enjoyed yoghurt, strawberry puree and some bananas. Everyone enjoyed their morning tea sitting at the table nicely. Scottie was very confident sitting on her chair with her friends today

For the group time Miss Tatiane read a book called ‘’That’s not my chicken’’. Miss Tatiane slowly read the story and let the children touch the sensory parts of each page. While she was reading the book Miss Tatiane encouraged children to practice some simple words such as ‘’Green, Chicken, Feathers, fluffy, Yellow’’. Loki, Chester and Indiana enjoyed repeating those words while Daisy and Oskar enjoy touching the sensory parts of the book.

As an extension for the story time we decided to encourage children with engaging an art experience related to the story. So Miss Tatiane set up the table by putting chairs around the table, white and pink colours on trays with some green glitter and some colourful feathers. Daisy, Indiana, Chester and Loki had their turn together. Oskar and Scottie engaged with their painting after their sleep. We offered children with paint brushes and encouraged them to dip the paint brushes in any colour that they love. Then Miss Tatiaane helped them to put some glue on the eyes and stick them on the paper. Finally, we brought the tray with feather and let the children pick the feathers and stick them on the paper. Scottie and Daisy needed a little support to stick the eyes and feathers, but they absolutely loved creating their own chicken using both hands and paint brush.

For lunch, we enjoyed yummy tofu and rice noodles along with a salad bar. We practice our self-help skills by using forks and spoons for mealtime to feed ourselves, put the hats on, find the drink bottles and wash our hands. Our new goal is encouraging children to put their dishes, bibs and drink bottles away in the baskets after mealtime. We encourage children to find their own cot now. We encourage older children to walk to the bathroom and use the stairs to reach to the changing mat and wash their hands after changing nappies by themselves.

For one-on-one time, Oskar practiced stacking rings while Chester was engaging with the animal puzzle. Indiana practiced the body parts and Scottie explored the mini jungle inside the room.

We are experiencing difficulties of uploading photos and we apologies for any inconveniences.

We have put up the daily blog, daily programming and daily pictures up on the wall just before where we enter to the babies room. Miss Jess has created a book called babies two memories with photos of special experiences that we engaged with. Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane will continue the book. Parents can have a look at the book any time, it will be displayed on the parents hub just before you enter to the room. Please pack some clothes for warm weather as it can get really warm in the afternoon now. Remind – Please fill the bottle receipt on the front desk for each day

Much love Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane♥
