Good Afternoon families!!

Welcome to babies Two and Three♥

Happy Wednesday… Today we combined babies two and babies three. We welcomed Indiana, Zeppelin and Oskar from babies two and Adeleine from babies three with lots of cuddles.

Indiana had a quiet starting this morning while we were waiting for our friends arrive. She spent a lot of time playing with the puzzles and spinner. Soon Zeppelin, Oskar and Adeleine joined Indiana. Zeppelin enjoyed traying to reach the Farm Pals book that was closed to him on the mat and to practice his rolling over.  Oskar and Adeleine engaged in the home corner with Indiana. They had such a lovely time playing together. Today for morning tea, we enjoyed Coconut Strawberry delight.

Today is our national day dedicated to our National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day. To celebrate this event with the children, we set up a table with a big black paper, red and yellow painting, and soft human shape. We let the children to take the shape, putting in the painting and stamp on the black paper. As the children loved the activity, we gave more paper for them to have a free painting. Oskar and Indiana enjoyed to putting their hands in the painting tray, squeeze the soft shape and messy it up their faces. It seems they had so much fun.

Outside Adeleine, Indiana and Oskar experienced some exciting activities in the small yard. They engaged with the climbing frame, lawnmower, and the dinosaur seesaw. They also enjoyed Miss Jin blowing some bubbles for them to catch and popping the bubbles in the air. For lunch we enjoyed a yummy Wholesome Shephard’s Pie bites with Cauliflower and for afternoon tea we will be enjoying some Good Ol ‘Scroggin Trail mix.

In the afternoon we will be enjoying some outdoor free experiences and then we will be engaging with some indoor free experiences. We practiced our self-help skills by using spoons for mealtime to feed ourselves, put the hats on, find the drink bottles, find the water bottles, and wash our hands. Our new goal is encouraging children to put their dishes, bibs and drink bottles away in the baskets after mealtime.

For one-on-one time, Miss Tatiane encouraged Zeppelin to stay in his tummy. We put a big colourful square, which has some different shapes of mirrors, in front of him and we let him play. He got very excited and happy looking at the mirror then he used his hands to touch the square. He had such a wonderful time.

We have put up the daily blog, daily programming and daily pictures up on the wall just before where we enter to the babies’ room. Miss Jess has created a book called babies two memories with photos of special experiences that we engaged with. Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane will continue the book. Parents can have a look at the book any time, it will be displayed on the parents’ hub just before you enter to the room.

Today our babies really enjoyed the activities we have set up inside. They loved to feel the texture of the painting and the soft human shape. To extend their interests we are going to do more Art and Craft during this week.

Much love Miss Otavia, Miss Tatiane and Miss Jin.
