Good afternoon families!!

Welcome to babies two ♥

This morning Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane welcomed Olive, Oskar, Zeppelin, Asher, Chester, Forrest, Austin and Emma with lots of cuddles.  Olive spent her day in toddler room as a transition. We started our day exploring the big yard with babies three friends as usual. Emma enjoyed sharing some books with Austin this morning and read them while sitting at the book corner. Emma would touch each page of the book to find the sensory pages and she would encourage Austin to touch and feel them. Emma was so excited t have a conversation with Austin from her own language. Forrest loved playing with the ‘’Thomas’’ on the transport mat. He then found a ball and started to kick it towards the fence. Oskar joined with Forrest and continued passing the ball between them by kicking. Oskar and Forrest are very confident of using their legs to kick the ball and maintain the balance. Chester loves the sand pit. He was playing in the sand pit the whole time we were outside this morning. Chester and Asher grabbed some baskets, shovels, trucks and excavators to the sand pit to play with. Chester helped Asher to grab them from the big wooden box. Zeppelin enjoyed laying on his soft mat outside. He enjoyed playing with a soft ball.. Zeppelin would throw it away from him and try to reach it by rolling on the mat. He would laugh when he gets his ball back. Chester came close to Zeppelin after playing in the sand pit and pat him saying ‘’baby…baby’’. Then he offered him a shaker to play with. For morning tea, Children enjoyed magic breaky muffins

For the story time Miss Hansani barrowed a book from babies three called ‘’Australian animals’’. We went through each page and Miss Hansani explained the name of the animals, the colours of the animals, where they live and what they eat. Everyone was so excited to listen to the story time and have a look at the big colourful pictures. Then each child got a turn to have a look at each animal as all the animals were printed on sensory pages. So, the children could touch and feel the different texture of each page. They absolutely loved running their fingers on the sensory parts. As an extension for the story time Miss Tatiane made a big sensory farm animal tray with farm animals, sand, bark, leaves and rice. Oskar, Austin, Emma, Chester, Forrest and Asher enjoyed touching all the resources on the tray and feel the difference of each texture. Then the children started to play with the animals, cover them with bark and sand, feed them some leaves and did not forget to mix all the sensory resources and enjoy a combined texture. At the end of the experience Forrest, Chester and Oskar helped Miss Tati to pack away all the animals. For lunch, we enjoyed crispy potato rosti and chicken pom poms. For afternoon tea, we will be enjoying fresh apple, pear and raspberry compote

For one-on-one time, Zeppelin engaged with looking at the mirror to recognise himself. He was so happy to see him from the mirror. Chester and Forrest practiced some colours using flash cards. The colours they practiced were yellow, green, black, purple, red and pink. Both Chester and Forrest were able say all the words we practiced

We have put up the daily blog, daily programming and daily pictures up on the wall just before where we enter to the babies room. Miss Jess has created a book called babies two memories with photos of special experiences that we engaged with. Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane will continue the book. Parents can have a look at the book any time, it will be displayed on the parents hub just before you enter to the room.

Please pack some clothes for warm weather as it can get really warm in the afternoon now.

Remind – Please fill the bottle receipt on the front desk for each day

Much love Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane♥
