Welcome to babies two♥
This Morning Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane welcomed Zeppelin, Tommy, Braxton, Forrest, Loki and Indiana this morning with lots of cuddles. Zeppelin and Tommy love looking at each other and play next to each other. This morning Zeppelin rolled over to Tommy and gave a big cuddle. Indiana and Forrest enjoyed playing with sensory blocks this morning and they enjoyed touching and feeling the different surfaces. Braxton loves to walk around the room and give cuddles for his educators as always. He would play with his friends a little bit and come back to his educators with a big smile on his face. And he loves greeting everyone saying ‘’hi’’. Loki was so excited to play with the blocks that we set up on the table. He grabbed all the little blocks and made a tall tower by stacking them slowly. For morning tea we enjoyed organic fruit toast and delicious coconut jelly.
Today for the group time Miss. Mel sat with all the children outside and sang bunch of songs such as ‘’Raw raw, Sleeping Bunny, Wheels on the bus, Incy wincy spider’’. Children absolutely loved it. Children enjoyed clapping and doing some dancing movements with Miss Mel and their friends.
Today we set up our yard with experiences related to positioning according to ‘’Early Learning Matters’’ week. So we lined up different materials such as wooden blocks, building blocks, Soft blocks and little caterpillar blocks and baskets a few meters away. Then we encouraged children to positioning the blocks in the right basket. It was so much like packing away and children absolutely loved the experience an successfully positioned the blocks in each basket with their educators directions.
Then it was time to engage with a sensory play. We set up a sensory tray with lots of blue and pink colour pasta and turtle shape cups to play with. Braxton and Forrest did really well transfer the pasta from a cup into another cup. Loki Indiana absolutely enjoyed touching the pasta and enjoy feeling the texture. Forrest ended up tasting the pasta. For lunch we enjoyed Thai veggie balls and sesame chicken noodle salad. For afternoon tea we will be enjoying bumbleberry crumble bars
We practiced our self-help skills by using spoons for meal time to feed ourselves, put the hats on, find the drink bottles, find the water bottles and wash our hands. Also our goal is to encourage our babies to put their bibs and bottles away after meal time.
Today for one on one time we encouraged Zeppelin and Tommy to reach the toys while doing the tummy time. Also Miss Hansani sang some songs as they love music and Zeppelin and Tommy gave me the best facial expressions by smiling and making fun faces.
We have put up the daily blog, daily programming and daily pictures up on the wall just before where we enter to the babies room. Miss Jess has created a book called babies two memories with photos of special experiences that we engaged with. Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane will continue the book. Parents can have a look at the book any time, it will be displayed on the parents hub just before you enter to the room.
