Welcome to babies two♥
Good afternoon, everyone! Happy Wednesday… Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane welcomed Daisy, Zeppelin, Tommy, Forrest, Austin, Braxton, Indiana and Oskar with lots of cuddles this morning. Oskar has transitioned to babies three this morning and he spent most of the day in his new environment. Oskar absolutely enjoys his new room, and he is getting used to his new educators and friends. We started our day greeting everyone and encouraging children to greet their friends saying ‘’hi’’. We experienced some outdoor activities and then indoor experiences until the morning tea arrived. Outside, Tommy enjoyed laying on his favourite lion mat and practice crawling as we put lots of musical instruments in front of him to encourage him to crawl. He got so excited and started to move his legs and hands to move forward. Well done tommy you are getting there. Outside Oskar, Forrest and Indiana enjoyed playing with the cars and trucks that we set up on the transport mat. Then read some stories with Tommy, Indi, Forrest and Daisy while sitting on the mat. We let the children to choose their favourite books from the book basket. Inside Zeppelin enjoyed playing with the sensory blocks and feel the different textures. Braxton and Austin enjoyed playing the musical instruments while Daisy and Indiana engage with doing the puzzles. For morning tea, we enjoyed avocado chocolate slices.
For the group time, we played our children’s favourite songs and engaged with a group dancing. The songs that we played were baby shar, head shoulders, hot potato and five little ducks. Braxton, Indiana, Forrest and Austin absolutely loved showing their dancing skills. Today we offered children with play dough and cookie cutters to engage with a play dough experience. We used the animal shapes such as horse, bunny, butterfly, duck and pig for this experience and then we found the animal puzzle pieces to match with each cookie cutter. Then Miss Tatiane engaged with children and support them with rolling and making animal shapes using the cookie cutters. For lunch, we enjoyed a delicious lasagne. For afternoon tea, we will be enjoying sweet pea and smash avocado dip with pita crisps.
For one-on-one time, we set up some puzzles on the mat and encouraged children to choose their favourite puzzle. Every child was supported to complete their puzzle during one-on-one time. This provided children to practice and demonstrate their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination skills
We have put up the daily blog, daily programming and daily pictures up on the wall just before where we enter to the babies room. Miss Jess has created a book called babies two memories with photos of special experiences that we engaged with. Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane will continue the book. Parents can have a look at the book any time, it will be displayed on the parents hub just before you enter to the room.
Please pack some clothes for warm weather as it can get really warm in the afternoon now.
