Good afternoon families!!

Welcome to babies two ♥

This morning Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane welcomed Indiana, Loki, Braxton, Tommy, Zeppelin, Oskar, Austin and Forrest with big cuddles. We started our day exploring our outdoor yard with babies three friends. Outside, Forrest found his favourite train and enjoyed pushing it on the soft blocks saying ‘’Train…Train..’’. Then he decided to demonstrate his gross motor skills by walking on the balancing beam. Oskar, Indiana and Loki enjoyed kicking and throwing balls all around the yard. Loki threw a ball to Oskie and Oskar kicked the ball with a big laugh saying ‘’Yayyy’’. Loki was so excited to grab the ball again and continue playing with Oskar. Then Indiana found her favourite dinosaur and spent some time going on the dinosaur before she found her favourite bicycle. Every time when we go outside Indiana never forgets to ride her favourite bicycle. She loves watching the cars and trucks going on the road while she is sitting on it. Zeppelin was so excited to show his balancing skills by sitting on the book area outside this morning. Braxton found a ball and a truck and then he ran to Miss Hansani while holding them both. Braxton offered Miss Hansani the ball and continued playing with the truck by releasing the truck on the slide. Miss Hansani asked Braxton, ‘’shall we give this ball to Zeppi to play with?’’ Braxton smiled and continued playing so Miss Hansani offered the ball for Zeppelin. Zeppelin enjoyed rolling the ball on the grass by using his both hands. Tommy joined with us for the morning tea. Austin enjyed pushing the walkers around the yard, do some climbing on the climbing frame and walk on the balancing bridge. Austin loves demonstrating more gross motor skills since he started walking. For morning tea, Children enjoyed avocado chocolate slices with some fresh fruits.

For the group time Miss Tatiane read a book called ‘’Give me some space’’. Miss Tatiane turned the pages one by one and explained children about the sky and space. Also, she explained all the colours and pictures that they can see on the book. While we were reading the book Miss Tatiane encouraged children to practice some simple words such as sky, space, blue, stars, clouds, rain’’. Loki, Forrest and Indiana were able to repeat some words such as ‘’sky, blue, star, rain’’ after Miss Tatiane.

As an extension for the story time, we decided to encourage children with engaging an art experience related to the story. So, Miss Hansani set up the table with paint brushes, cotton balls, star and moon shape cookie cutters and paint. We let the children to have a look at the book and use their own imagination to create a beautiful painting inspired by the story of space. We offered children with light blue colour papers and cookie cutters first do stamp the moon and stars. They enjoyed dipping the cookie cutters in different colours and stamp them all over the paper. We used cotton balls to add clouds to the artwork by encouraging children to dip the cotton balls in glue before they stick.  It turned out into such a beautiful artwork.

For lunch, we enjoyed mushroom, ricotta, spinach lasagne. For afternoon tea, we will be enjoying sweet pea and smashed avocado dip with pita crisps. We practice our self-help skills by using forks and spoons for mealtime to feed ourselves, put the hats on, find the drink bottles and wash our hands. Our new goal is encouraging children to put their dishes, bibs and drink bottles away in the baskets after mealtime. We encourage children to find their own cot now. We encourage older children to walk to the bathroom and use the stairs to reach to the changing mat and wash their hands after changing nappies by themselves.

For one-on-one time, Tommy and Zeppelin listed to some songs such as ‘’twinkle twinkle, incy wincy, if you happy’’. Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane encouraged them to grab their favourite toys by rolling on the mat. Tommy was so excited to reach his favourite soft blocks while Zeppelin was playing with the little speakers that makes animal sounds when you shake. Zeppelin knows the sound come from the speaker and he needs to shake it. So he uses his hands to roll it on the ground to listen to the sound. Tommy loves the sensory mat we bought. His favourite part is to look at the mirror and play with the little shaker that attached to the mat.

We have put up the daily blog, daily programming and daily pictures up on the wall just before where we enter to the babies room. Miss Jess has created a book called babies two memories with photos of special experiences that we engaged with. Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane will continue the book. Parents can have a look at the book any time, it will be displayed on the parents hub just before you enter to the room. Please pack some clothes for warm weather as it can get really warm in the afternoon now.

Remind – Please fill the bottle receipt on the front desk for each day

Much love Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane…
