Hello families and welcome to Wonderful Wednesday,

Today we have had the best day ever, the weather was even on our side. The children went for a walk to Oxenford State School to join in the Under 8 celebrations. We all walked as a group to the school and upon arrival we were greeted by one of the teachers. The kindergarten children were quickly engaged in the activities with our first stop being the sensory play area. This consisted of a sensory pool full of slime, Matthew was quick to join in, however Hamilton and Graysen were not far behind. The children enjoyed exploring this particular activity and most of them had a turn, for those that were not interested in slime they were able to take part in drawing on the concrete using giant chalk. Layla and Harper enjoyed this particular activity. Once we had finished with our drawings we moved onto some of the community activities, the children were very happy to use the fire hose and spray the water up the hill. We also played on a jumping castle using our bodies to bounce on the blow up goal posts. The children were also able to sit in a fire truck, a police jeep and touch a snake. Today has created lots of great memories for the children and it was lovely to mix with the children from the school and members of the wider community.

Upon our return to school we were participants in the National Simultaneous Story Time, this experience was based around the book Alpaccas with Maracas. The children enjoyed the story and also shaking the Maracas that Miss Kate bought in for us. This book also allowed the children to look for rhyming words within the story.

We have had an amazing Wednesday and are looking forward to a terrific Thursday

Have a great night

Miss Sharon and her little adventurous bunch.
