Happy Monday Families!

We hope you all had a wonderful weekend enjoying the sunshine.

This week has kicked off with a bang! We have done so much in the class today there is just so much to talk about.

The Pre Kindy classroom had a makeover one the weekend with all our stuff finding new homes, so today we spent group time learning about respect and belonging of physical items. Miss Bek spoke about the areas within the room and what they are for. We paid special attention to our calm corner, and that if the children are feeling sad, angry or they just want some quite time that is where they can go to relax.

We have been lucky enough to have some brand new toy in the classroom and all children were super excited for this! We have 2 trucks filled with cars 🙂 Colten, Ryan, Harry and Bjorn were so excited to play with these. Miss Bek engaged with the children around what it means to look after the toys and what taking turns mean.

It is the week of Holy leading into our Easter weekend so in celebration of Holy we created a group artwork with water paint and spray bottles – Check out the Facebook page with more about Holy!

We had a visit from some slimly garden friends….. SNAILS! The children were fascinated with the snails asking so many questions, we talked about the texture of them, where they come from/live, what they eat. The children were so curious that they wanted to hold the snail, which was extremely brave of them.

Due to the recent outbreak of COVID cases in Brisbane and the shutdown which will be in place from 5pm onwards Miss Bek has headed home and will not be in for the rest of the week due to the fact she lives in Brisbane. We do also ask that if any families have been in the greater region of Brisbane or Byron Bay over the weekend that you follow the governments instructions and self isolate yourself and do not bring your children into Kindy. Emma and Nads will be sending out communications throughout the day regarding this.

Have a great afternoon and I will see you all tomorrow,

Regards Miss Tiffany
