Good afternoon families and friends.
Today we celebrated The Torres Strait Islands Custom of Floral Friday – by dressing in floral clothing and accessories. At group time we sand the song “Taba Naba” which we are learning. Then the children were given the opportunity to paint their interpretation of the fragipani flower and other flowers on a woven canvas. This was a group activity which the children really enjoyed. Also on offer was magnetic tiles, construction with recycled materials, where the children built huge towers, before knocking them over. Then we had a mid morning play in the sandpit and group time outdoors under the Verandah where we listened to the story The Whale And The Snail“, about a snail that travelled the world on a whales tail and helped rescue the whale after he became stranded on a beach at low tide. We are looking forward to our afternoon outdoors with more fun activities and play with our friends. Have a lovely weekend. See you next week.
