Good afternoon everyone, we hope you have had as much fun as we did today in the Pre Kindy classroom, so far we’ve had lots of dancing and laughter today.
The children have taken a loving interest to the musical instruments, taking turns in discovering what sounds each instrument makes.
We decided as a group to have a picnic outside for morning tea in the shade, it was a lovely change for us to sit in circle and share stories about what foods we each individually love the most.
We enjoyed water play with the animals, exploring what patterns the leaves make when we trace over the top of them, we even found a grasshopper when we were on our hunt for leaves.
Finding the grasshopper was a very special moment, so we took time to learn more in depth about where grasshoppers come from, we attempted to say “Grasshopper” and we even gave him a name, we came up with some funny ones indeed.
The children are very creative and imaginative.
Today, Jamal took time to play with the cars on the mat and start to build a race track, India and Kaylee had fun feeding the babies and teddy bears, Ellie enjoyed climbing on the rope and sliding down the slide, making her very own obstacle course, Ella and Arlo had so much fun exploring together with the rocks and shapes, Oliver was showing us his best dance moves and really enjoyed playing the freeze game, Asher and Zander took time out on the swing today and found it very relaxing, Lily had so much fun dancing with Oliver, Marlie stayed closeby Miss Dominique today helping with activities, Ivy had such a great time learning how to trace over the leaves with crayon and paper, William had lots of exercise today, he played soccer and did plenty of climbing alongside Ellie.
We took time today to give eachother a hug and say something nice to our friends, it was a really special moment and many of the children turned to their friends and said a simple thank you and gave them a cuddle. Learning to give and receive is truly a gift indeed.
Showing compassion and kindness greatly.
