Hello friends and families,

This morning we welcomed Hudson, Dominic, Luca, Goku, Archie, Banjo, Rumi, Poppy, Kezia, Zilo, Alanis, Lincoln into the yard. The children spent the morning climbing, exploring, racing around on bikes, dancing around, making cupcakes out of sand in the outdoor kitchen and overall just spending time with their friends.

We the transitioned indoors where we sat on the mat with Miss Bec and read our new books. Both books are about transport, the children learnt about the names of different cars and trucks and construction vehicles. They were particularly interested in this book, as cars and transport is already an interest which we have just extended on. We then sang bee bee bumble bee, before washing our hands and sitting down for morning tea.

After morning tea, we sat on the mat for another group time where we looked and touched some snails! The children got to examine the snails in their natural habitat. We then split into two groups, half of us went outside with Miss Aaliyah and the other half stayed inside with Miss Bec. Outside, we did our Holi Festival activity which was using spray bottles to spray a white sheet, making it very very colourful! Indoors, we had Holi festival colouring in pages, we played with the snails as well as playing with dominos, lining them up and seeing how many we can get before they fall over. We also played a new game that Miss Nads had given our room as an Easter present. The game consisted of flicking the arrow around the board and whatever it landed on was what we had to find in the bag of toys. We then rotated the groups so everyone had a turn at each activity. We then all headed outdoors for a big play.

This afternoon we will be outdoors weather permitting.

NOTE; we are in the process of making a family tree, so if you could please bring in or email your favourite family photo to [email protected]

Love Miss Bec and Miss Aaliyah xx
