Happy Friday families and friends…
This morning for Yarn time the Senior Kindy children excitedly gathered on the mat as Alek, Conall and Christopher shared some news for show and tell. Conall shared that he had a birthday last weekend with his family and Alek shared that he was having a birthday this weekend and had brought along chocolate cupcakes to make for his friends. The children all requested if they could have a turn to stir the ingredients a bit later. Christopher brought along some ‘dinosaur eggs’ that he had painted from his home, which he proudly showed off to his friends and let them feel how heavy they were. Thanks boys for sharing during Yarn time today.
This morning we also recognised Child Protection Week by sharing a children’s video entitled “The Boss of our own Body” by The Teeny Tiny Stevies. The children danced and sang along to the music. Miss Jen then arrived for Funky Feet Dance. The children played ‘Cheeky Monkeys’, danced with the pom poms, played follow the leader. The children also stretched their muscles at the end of the dance session.
Play time today the children enjoyed writing letters and posting them in the red post box. Driving the cars and trains on the floor track and singing along to Miss Leesa’s puppets and felt stories. Today we shared ‘Brown Bear’, ‘Mr Frog’, and 5 Red Apples’. What a super fun day of learning and play…Have a great weekend…
