Happy Friday families and friends…
Today in the Senior Kindy room the children were excited to engage in a variety of experiences provided. The children started the day playing dress-ups in the ‘occupation’ costumes as they called out ’emergency, emergency’ and proudly wore the fire fighter and police officer jackets and pretended to put out fires. Some friends then moved onto cooking in the home corner kitchen and pretending to bake cupcakes in the oven. After morning tea the children were given the opportunity to engage in free-choice play as they enjoyed playdough play with the wooden rollers and hammers, practicing their fine motor skills – threading pasta on the pipe cleaners to make bracelets, utilising the tongs to collect the pom poms in the egg cartons and sharing books on the pillows. Miss Jen then joined us for Funky Feet dance as the children helped packaway to create space to move and dance about. The children really enjoy Miss Jen’s lesson as they listen carefully to her directions and imitate her dance moves and they also played the ‘limbo’.
Have a great weekend everyone…
Until next time…
