Hello families,
Welcome to a new week! We hope you all enjoyed your weekend 🙂
As it was gloomy and rainy this morning, we started our day amongst free choice play in the Senior Kindy room, getting us all comfortable and settled for our Monday morning.
We then sat on the mat for our morning group time, did our daily introduction as a class and read a special book that one of our friends brought to Kindy and wanted to show everyone! After that, made a transition to the bathroom to wash hands for our morning tea.
For morning tea today, the children used the tongs to self-serve their own food just like the big boys and girls that we are! We also packed away our plates and water bottles ready for today’s activities.
There was many activities set up for each of us to enjoy which reflected on developing many of their skills and helped put our brains to use! The large car mat was a massive hit today and lots of cooking in our home corner kitchen. They really put their imagination to use in today’s play time 🙂 We also had some Lego building and puzzle and color matching as a cognitive experience. Some of us also got to paint the rest of our Christmas wreaths!
After a big play, it was then time for our weekly yoga lesson! We made our way to yoga and participated nicely to stretch and move our bodies, getting us familiar with our bodies and ourselves. We love Yoga!
We then all joined on the mat for our afternoon group time with Miss Lyn. She sang our favorite songs and read us a Christmas story!
Following that, it was time for us to get ourselves ready for some lunch and a little rest.
