Good afternoon friends and families,
Wow it was great to see the parents back in the room today!! It would be an amazing feeling for you guys!
This morning we welcomed Parker, Dominic, Finley, Kennedy, Rumi, Hunter, Zahra, Luca, Ella and Lachlan into Senior Kindy. We started the morning in the yard as usual, the children enjoyed playing in the sandpit and home corner. They also enjoyed the obstacle course, running on the green hill and riding the bikes around.
We then headed indoors for morning tea and group time which we absolutely loved! For group time today, we read our animal book and did our flash cards. We almost know every single flash card now, yay! After morning tea, Miss Bec made us some jungle play dough, where we incoorporated some leaves, tree pods and some shells, as well as animals. We also spent some time in home corner, as well as making some big tall towers with the blocks. Miss Deb and Miss Bec also set up the start of our Australia Day activities that will be happening from tomorrow and throughout the duration of next week.
We then headed outdoors for a play before lunch, where Miss Bec took us up to the outdoor classroom where we threw some bean bags around and played a number game with the children.
This afternoon, we have an incursion where there will be Australian native reptiles coming in for a visit. The children are so excited.
