Happy Thursday families and friends…
Today we welcomed our new friend ‘Avila’ to the Senior kindy room… We hope you had a wonderful day meeting new friends and enjoying the big playground and fun indoor experiences. This morning the Senior Kindy children were very excited to gather on the mat for Yarn Time to share some lovely new books that Nadine bought for our room. The children helped identify all the numbers and shapes in the books as well as all the animals. The children really enjoy story time and were thrilled to receive the special gift from the Centre. A big ‘thankyou’ from the Senior Kindy children…
Today we continued on with writing and posting letters due to the children’s request. The children took turns to draw and write special letters and pictures and carefully fold them in the envelopes to post in the red mailbox. We also continued on with play dough play due to the children’s ongoing interest with this type of sensory play. The children have discovered that it is much easier to practice their scissor cutting skills using the play dough rather than cutting paper. The children were also given the opportunity to express their creativity with a painting experience today, using the thin brushes and orange and blue paint.
Other play experinces today included role play with the doll house, transport play, grocery shop play and sharing books in book corner.
