Happy Tuesday families and friends…
Today in the Senior Kindy Room we all decided after morning tea to transition back into the outdoor environment to explore and play. The children were so excited to make choices and choose their favourite play experiences. Ryan, Cohen and Harper practiced their gross motor climbing/balancing skills on the large climbing frame. Harper managed to get a little bit stuck at the top, so her friend Ryan helped her down. Myla and Christopher engaged in role play in the outdoor kitchen, pretending to cook using the pots and pans and spatulas. Luna and Latika had a wonderful time climbing the mountain and then sliding down the side and climbing back up again. Bjorn enjoyed digger play in the sandpit, transferring sand from one truck to the other and Connor had a great time exploring as he climbed all over the big sandstone rocks and then jumped on a bike for a ride on the bike track. Lachlan had a fun time giving the baby doll a bath in the tub and then spent some quiet time chilling in the cubby house, reading a book. Some of our friends then joined Miss Leesa at the edge of the sandpit to engage in a painting experience, using the fluro paint pens. The children were so patient as they waited their turn for their favourite colour as they painted pictures and patterns and enjoyed expressing their creativity.
Other outdoor play experiences today included playing dress-ups, swinging on the monkey bars, role-play with the recycled phones and keyboards, doll house play, building with the large wooden blocks, transport play and dinosaur play… WOW! What a super fun day at kindy today…
Until next time..
Love Miss Leesa and Miss Danica
