Hello families and friends…

What a fabulous of day fun, learning and play in the Senior Kindy room today. The beautiful wet weather kept us indoors this morning so we kept busy with lots of fun experiences. The children borrowed the stethoscope from the pre-kindy room and set about engaging in role play, pretending to be doctors and checking each others ‘heart beats’. This play lead into dress-up play in home corner where the children chose to be nurses, police officers and construction workers and played in pairs and small groups. The children then requested the bottles, bibs and cloth nappies for the baby dolls while playing in home corner. The children displayed wonderful caring and nurturing skills as they took care of their baby dolls.

After morning tea the children were given the opportunity to express their creativity, collaging using the glue sticks and recycled paper, engaging in sensory play dough play – using the cars and trucks to create patterns and tracks with the wheels and sorting and matching the animal magnets on the whiteboard. The children also chose building and constructing with the lego set and connector blocks. Group time today we continued on with sharing some fun books. Today we encouraged the children to make predictions as we shared the ABC and 123 lift the flap books. We also shared some of our favourite songs with actions.

Have a great evening and enjoy the photos…
