Happy Wednesday families and friends…
Today in the Senior Kindy room the children were excited to explore the indoor environment and engage in variety of experinces. The children gathered at the table and continued on with practicing recognising their first name. Miss Leesa drew the children’s name on the chalkboards and the children then identified their names and then settled to practise their drawing skills on the blackboards. The children worked in pairs to create shapes and a big ‘rocket’ with the magnetic tiles. Sensory playdough play was great fun as the children took turns and utilised the wooden rollers and hammers to manipulate the dough. The children also enjoyed farm animal magnet play as they created fun scenes on the magnetic boards. The Senior children also kept busy with role-play with the baby dolls as they wrapped them in the blankets and fed them bottles. Other play experiences today included sharing books on the pillows and building and constructing with the lego set. Yarn time today the children chose one of our favourite story books ‘Who Sank the Boat” and “Wombat went-a-Walking”. What a super fun day of learning and play in the Senior Kindy room today…
