Hello families and friends and welcome to “Wonderful Wednesday”.
Firstly, we would like to say a big ‘THANKYOU’ for all the very thoughtful gifts and cards we received today as we celebrated ‘Early Childhood Educators Day’.
Today in the Senior Kindy room we started our day in the great outdoors. The children were excited to engage in the variety of experiences prepared by Miss Tj this morning including a bike and car wash, a transport station, climbing on the blue frame and imaginative play in the dress-up and costume play space.
We then transitioned indoors to share another big book entitled “Handa’s Surprise”. A story about a young girl who gathers fresh fruit in her basket that she then balances on her head to deliver to her best friend that lives in another village. The children helped identify all the delicious fruits in the basket including pineapple, guava, oranges and berries. The children were very engaged and requested to take a look at all the big books we have shared for Yarn Time this week after morning tea as we continued on with our theme of ‘eating healthy foods’.
The Senior Kindy friends have really enjoyed group times this week including songs, books, puppets, felt stories and dancing. The children have become very confident in sharing their thoughts and opinions during group conversations and have continued on with these conversations during play with their peers.
