Good afternoon Toddler One families and friends.

First of all today we would like to wish our friend Banjo a Happy 2nd Birthday!

Once again we took advantage of the lovely cooler weather to engage in outdoor experiences. The wet sand is very popular for creating sandcastles, cakes and for construction play with the diggers and dump trucks. We also practise our gross motor skills as we navigate the climbing fort, working our way across the swinging bridge and down the slide. Henry enjoyed playing a game of peekaboo through the letters on the fort with Miss Lyn. Other friends chose to have running races, while others shared the swing with our Toddler Two friends or pushed the wheelbarrows through the playground. Other activities included a small group art experience where the children used the great outdoors as inspiration  to create patterns on a large sheet of cardboard using watercolours and cotton tips.

Our indoor activities included acknowledgment to country, singing our favourite good morning songs and at Yarn Time Miss Leesa read the book “There’s A Hippo On My Roof Eating Cake” …   We continue to focus on our self help and hygiene skills, washing our hands before and after our meals and placing our drink bottles in the fridge when we are finished with them. Thankyou for a lovely day and we look forward to seeing you all again tomorrow.

Love From Miss Leesa & Miss Lyn. xxx
