Happy Wednesday families and friends!
Today in the Toddler room the children were excited to explore the home corner play space and engage in role play experiences. The children took care of the baby dolls and then decided to climb into the cots and pretend to be babies too. The children also pretended to be chefs and prepare meals for their friends in the new home corner kitchen.
Miss Lyn prepared a painting experience for the children today where they used blue and green glitter paint to decorate paper plates which we are going to make into snakes to hang in the room along with our birds and bugs we have been making all week.
We then shared a book about an anaconda snake found at a zoo entitled ‘Class Two went to the Zoo’. The children helped identify all the different types of animals found at the zoo including the monkeys, hippos, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and tigers.
Harvey shared with his friends today that he has a new puppy at home called ‘Sizzle’ as he proudly showed off a picture of his sausage dog.
Other play experiences today included construction play with the lego set, doll house play, singing some of our favourite songs and rhymes with actions and puzzle play.
