Happy Thursday and a warm welcome from Toddlers Two!
What a fabulous learning journey we had around here this morning! With the sun back to shine in the sky our day started with our friends exploring our beautiful environment outside. Happily, our friends made their way looking for they favourite games and friends!
Today the toddler’s friends had a wonderful time exploring the playground, riding bikes, taking turns in the slides, and reading books. Also, we had Mister Daniel here to teach us the art of the Arakan’s techniques.
The time flies when we are having so much fun, so before we set down for our yummy morning tea was time for, we say hello and welcome our friends in a group time. Today we read a book that calls “My mummy loves me” continues in the mother`s day celebration. In the book is about giraffe mum how loves doing special things for the little giraffe. Our friends engage in the story we just could to see the little finger pointed to the book and saying “ my mummy”, “ cake”, “ a giraffe”.
Then was time to transition for washing hands and morning tea.
After morning tea, we continued setting back into and exploring our toddlers two classroom. This morning we had two group activity tables, the learning experiences were:
– Craft table: Using pva fabric in human shape we asked the children to do a collage designing own mother, sticking different stickers on the little bodies. The kids really enjoyed this experience, they were saying “my mum heart” – “ hat on mum” then placed different stickers.
– Tongs play – Using food tongs our friends could move cotton balls and pasta from a bowl to a egg cartoon. These simples experience really help our friends to learn fine motor skills, social skills such as turn-taking and cooperating, and also enhance each child’s problem-solving abilities.
Was a beautiful learning and playful morning at the toddlers’ classroom. This afternoon we are planning to have a relaxing and enjoyable play outside in the playground with our friends from Toddlers 1.
