Happy Tuesday!
Olá (Hello in Portuguese) and a warm welcome from Toddlers One Room! We started our day welcoming Onyx, Tua, Bella, Ruby, Millie, Nayla, Rosie, Ariana, Nikora, Orion, Abel, Alia and Quintin! We made our way outside to appreciate the warm morning sunshine and to say hello to the horses with our friends from Toddlers 2! Rosie, Tua, Onyx, and Orion loved exploring the mud kitchen and filling their buckets with water. Ruby, Ariana, Alia, and Bella sat together and read books. Millie and Abel loved sitting on the swing and singing “higher higher!!” to Miss Jordan and Quintin enjoyed running across the bridge over and over again while giggling with a big smile on his face and Nikora enjoyed sitting quietly and doing puzzles.
After spontaneous play outside this morning; our friends sat down with Miss Thais and practiced mediation and slow breathing to calm our bodies and slow down. We sang; ‘Twinkle, Twinkle’, ‘Hello how are you ‘ and of course ‘Bee Bee Bumble Bee!’ to transition inside to have morning tea altogether.
For our group time experience today we read ‘What is the weather today’, extending on our topic this week of weather! As we learned about rainfall yesterday we continued to learn about what comes after the rain .. Rainbows! We looked at the different colors of the rainbow and how big and long they are. Our friends then got to glue and place colored confetti to make the rainbow on paper, this helped the children build on their fine motor skills and practice associating different colors.
Before we knew it it was time for our friends to zip outside for a play and then come back in for lunch and sleep time. Thank you for such a beautiful day friends
