Hello families and welcome to another wonderful day in the Toddler room.  This morning the children enjoyed outdoor play in the beautiful weather, racing through the tunnel, balancing on the  bridge and stepping stones and engaging in transport play on the car mat. We then transitioned indoors for our acknowledgement to country and morning group time songs. Today the children chose ABC, Miss Polly and Little Crocodile as their favourite rhymes to sing with their friends.  After morning tea the children assisted Miss Jess with rearranging the home corner furniture so the children could all engage and enjoy role play – taking care of the babies, pretending to cook and wash the dishes and play dress ups. The children were also given the opportunity to continue on with water colour painting, creating pretty pictures with the thin brushes as the children helped identify the colours as they painting and expressed their creativity. The group then excitedly transitioned outdoors for their weekly ARAKAN session with MR Daniel. The children happily listened to Mr Daniel’s directions as they had races, practiced their jumping skills and turn taking skills. Yarn time today the children chose ‘Wombat Went – A – Walking’ story as they worked together to help label all the different  types of Australian animals including a goanna, kangaroo, magpie, wombat, crocodile and emu. The children chose their favourite animal from the book as they transitioned to wash their hands for ‘nacho day’ for lunch…Yummy….WOW… What a super fun-filled day of learning and play in the Toddler room today…

Love Miss Leesa, Miss Jess and Miss Shelby
