Good afternoon friends and families,
Today was the last Friday of childcare for 2020, YAY! This morning we welcomed Zahra, Kynell, Onyx, Lara, Lincoln, Parker, Tai, Aria, Ivy and Ava and we even welcomed our friend, Eddie, from Babies 3 for the day. The children spent the morning playing with lego and farm animals with Miss Maddi. We built our own farm, and big tall buildings out of the blocks. We then went outdoors for a play where the children enjoyed free play outdoors, water play and climbing up and down the playgrounds. Miss Maddi and Miss Bec then sat us down outdoors for a group time. We read “there was an old lady who swallowed a fly” and “Alpacas with Maracas”. Miss Bec then sang us some songs including “hammer hammer hammer” which is Tai’s favourite! “The wheels on the bus”, “open shut them” and “if you’re happy and you know it..” We then ran to the bathroom, washed our hands and came back outside for a morning tea picnic.
After morning tea, we transitioned inside where we had a disco dance party! The children love dancing to lots of different songs, moving and groovin’ around the room and shaking their bodies. For our activity today, we found some old magazines which we cut up and used our fine motor skills to glue the pieces onto some coloured paper. We love using recycled materials and the children loved it! We then enjoyed some more free play inside the room where we are loving home corner at the moment! We love pretending to cook and wash in the sink. We got out some puzzles and lego again which they really enjoy.Once we had had enough of being indoors, we ventured outdoors for a play before it was time to sit down for lunch and settle for rest time.
