Good afternoon,
Today we welcome some new faces into our room. Our friend Ava who joined us for the first time today 🙂 Millie and Abel who are now officially in our room and have transitioned up from Babies 3, and Miss Maddy our new educator who will be with us each day 🙂
This morning we started our week in the yard with all of our Toddler friends. We loved exploring the sandpit, playing with the trucks, and making sandcastles. Miss Thais played a ball game with us where we rolled the ball back and forth between us. The children loved this game! We then transitioned inside for morning tea.
After morning tea, Miss Bec lead our group time by reading us ‘the three little pigs’. We really enjoyed this BIG book, it was something different to read and engage with the children as ‘we huffed and puffed to blow the house down’
This week is ‘National Science Week’ so we will be conducting different science activities throughout the week to celebrate this. Today, our activity went as followed:
- Pour milk onto plate
- Pour different food colourings into the milk
- Dip cotton tip into the dishwashing detergent
- Put cotton tip into the food colouring and watch the reaction.
All children loved this activity and participated really well. We then spent the remainder of the morning outside, on the obstacle course, and running around the yard before it was time for lunch.
We also had Yoga today and all the children participated =)
