Happy Monday Families and Friends!

Today we welcome in Toddlers Two
Indi, Jackson.C, Mathias, Cameron, Edward, Noah, Finley, Tai, Oliver, Kynell, Macsen ♥

The toddlers were so excited to play and explore all the environment today! Our day began with our friends having so much fun in the outdoors. The favourite experiences in the yard this morning were:

  • Climbing and trying the jumps on the obstacle course
  • Riding the bikes around the playground
  • Sandpit exploration, building sand castles, digging holes.
  • Puzzle time as we used our wonderful problem solving skills to match the right pieces.

The time goes so fast when we are having a good time with our friends, it was time we started our morning routine and exploring the environment inside. When we got in the classroom we had a beautiful SUPRISE Miss Nads gave us a beautiful dolls set for our classroom – We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU TO HER! The toddlers loved their new dolls! ♥

Today we had a very special day!  We are celebrating AUSTRALIAN DAY through our play and games. For our group time today Miss Jess read a book called: ” Koalas’ s big day out” –  The story talks about a Koala and how to find his sister in different places around Australia. The children were very engaged and liked trying to guess what was behind the flaps. They all had great listening ears on and thoroughly enjoyed the book.

With our tummies full from morning tea it was time keep exploring our learning environment – For our group experience today we had a sensory play with animals – Miss Gabi did the set up of three different scenarios using food and natural ingredients. The first trail was filled with outback animals and coconut coloured as a red to display dessert. The next one was the Australian rain forest made with green pasta and natural plants from the garden and the last one was our underwater which was made by jelly and cracked biscuits. Our friends absolute loved the opportunity to play with boards. They loved feeling the texture of the animals in their hands, as well as seeing all the animal and colours, tasting and smelling it.
Sensory play helps our friends with cognitive growth and development, fine motor skills, and gross motor skills.  It also encourages independent thinking, problem-solving and also is a very fun activity.

There was so much going on, so much noise, and so much fun around here today! 🙂

We all had a lovely rest time on our beds listening to soft music to have another fun adventure this afternoon!

Check out the photos!

With Love
